Dillon's KC BBQJust as we respect our Veterans we also respect the fact that others may have a different opinion from us. Isn’t that the rights that our Veterans fought for? That we could all think and say our own opinions? Whether or not the NFL meant for the kneeling to be disrespectful to Veterans or not. Dillons, Veterans and many others DO see it as disrespectful to our flag, our country and the Veterans that fought for this country. That IS why we will not be showing any NFL games on Sunday and stand with our Veterans.
Cheryl Billings KressThere is a time & place to protest & everyone has the right to peacefully protest (thanks to our military); but its the wrong way to go about it. You wouldn't announce a divorce or start a protest about gay marriage etc at a friends wedding. Wrong place, wrong time. Protest on their own time, not the NFL. They dont seem to be treated to poorly making the big $$$ they do! The protest would mean more if done separate from football or any sport.
Natasha FeaginsEveryone understands we have rights, yes the veterans fought, suffered and gave up years of missing out on holidays, birthdays and seeing their kids grow to provide those rights to us. However just because you have the right to kneel doesn't mean by exercising that right you are not spitting in the face of the men and women, black and white who provided that freedom to you. Kneeling for our national anthem to protest anything shows a disrespect to the soldiers. If you want to protest something find another platform that doesn't include disrespecting the innocent soldiers protecting you. The flag and our national anthem are the most bipartisan symbols we have no matter who you are, what you believe or who you voted for, of you are an American either show some respect or leave! From a parent who will be missing her sailor son this holiday season while he helps to preserve those rights!
Dave BricknerI live in walking distance to Dillon’s Arrowhead. I usually make it in there a couple of times a week. No more. I cannot support an establishment that does not support the constitution. I will not be back.
Sandi Pavlovic WilsonDon't show the games if it makes you feel bigger about yourself and if it is the only way you can show veterans that you care. Yet another political move for something that never had the same intention. Like to visit but will not any further because of something so simple and stupid. Keep on keeping on - we have many great places around to go watch the games and in the scheme of things, I would rather share the room with everyone regardless of some political BS people decide to make up.
Sandi Pavlovic WilsonSorry. You are so wrong! The taking of the knee has nothing to do with disrespect for our flag and our vets! It was to show disregard for black lives/racial injustice. Sad to say we won’t attend.
Cheryl LangIm glad that you as a business are taking a stand as should NFL players take a "stand" instead of kneeling. IF they want to make a point then take out an ad with the millions they make and let thier voice be heard. Constitution says they have freedom of speech and we have the freedom to not watch them play. Im glad us deplorables do not call people names like the libs do when they get all butt-hurt. THANK YOU DILLONS FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING. Many business are doing the same and many AMERICANS are too.
Siobhan SkinnerThat's sad, I use to love this place. All the veterans that I know fought for our freedom to have a Bill of Rights. The first amendment says that we have a right to a peaceful protest. Many people died to give us this right. Do you know what did DOESN'T say? That you can only protest as long as everyone agrees on it, as long as it doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable. We are all entitled to our opinions, that's the point. You also have the right to run your business as you see fit. You also have the right the accept any and all consequences for your actions. You have lost my business and I'm sure others as well.
Tom AchtenbergThanks for having the courage to stand up for our veterans, police and country. These overpaid, over privileged babies who only play a game for their millions deserve NOTHING! Dillion’s has my families total support.

Janet DempseyI’ll be there because of this.. not just the disrespect as that “ stands” but because I’d like to have lunch without all the sports... our Veterans deserve so much more than these “celebrities “ ..

Alan RealeyGood move Dillon’s. Its awesome to see you take a stand. No NFL in this House. I’m done with them. BTW... the NFL is just a big business. Hit em where they feel it.

Deb SnyderInteresting to me how everyone is invoking their 1st Amendment right and it brings about such opposing view points. What a great Constitution we have!!
